Morning Light, New Mexico

Here’s a beautiful photo to brighten your Sunday.

This sandhill crane is spending its winter in New Mexico where Cris Hamilton captured it when the light was just right.

  1. Hi all,

    Thanks for the comments.

I spent a week in Bosque del Apache, a national wildlife refuge in NM. It’s about 70 miles south of Albuquerque. This time of year is prime time for the sandhill cranes and snow geese who migrate through that area. It’s a great place to visit if you like bird watching. One of our highlights this year was seeing and photographing a “white-tailed kite.” Awesome!
