King of The Roof

Sharon Leadbitter looked outside her downtown office window on New Year’s Eve and saw a peregrine falcon perched on the Koppers Building roof.  Fortunately she had her camera with her.

Based on his size, she thinks this is Louie.  How nice to see him so close!

Thanks for sharing, Sharon.

  1. Very nice…Hard to get close to peregrines, closest I’ve got to peregrine falcon was in pretty bad day, not good light for my 70-300 lense:

  2. Well actually it’s thanks to the 10x digital zoom ….. but it is always a thrill to see them next door to me

  3. Awesome! I continue to see a peregrine perched on a lightpost on the Forest Hills side of the Westinghouse Bridge. Can’t stop to take a pic without causing a major accident :-/ Maybe I’ll grab a passenger and see if they can get a photo.

  4. Drove through Youngstown on Rt 680 yesterday and saw a peregrine on a lightpost close to the highway. Learned that there is a nesting site not too far from there, so I wasn’t seeing things!
