Four Eggs!

At 2:02pm Dorothy laid her fourth egg.

She looks tired. Now she can rest!

LATER:  Here’s the entire Pitt peregrine family at 4:39PM.

  1. She can take a nice long nap!! I mean, this has got to be like having babies at 50 or perhaps 60 right?

  2. I am in awe of this wonderful peregrine! Praying that the eggs hatch with beautiful fluffballs for Dorothy and E2!

  3. It looked like Dorothy wasn’t sitting on the egg for a good while. Does she leave it out to dry off or harden completely before sitting on it? (Not sure what condition an egg is in right after it’s laid….if I ever get chickens like I’ve been threatening to, I guess I’ll find out!)

  4. woohoo!! way to go Dorothy. Love her and E2. So devoted to each other. Heres hoping for viable eggs and healthy babies. BTW how old is E2?

  5. I am glad she will get some rest; will need alot energy to feed the little ones even with 2 parents. But as an old lady myself more power to her. Faith.

  6. Wow! This is such a miracle. Prayers for Dorothy, E2 and that the eggs are viable. It’s going to be so interesting to see what goes on. History in the making? Thanks for sharing Kate. 🙂

  7. It’s a real treat to see these photos, especially as the camera on the nest doesn’t seem to be working. Thanks so much!
