In the winter bald eagles move to sites of abundant food along North America's rivers.  One such location is Safe Harbor Dam on the Susquehanna River in Pennsylvania.

In mid-January Meredith Lombard found this crowd of immature birds jostling for a good position on the rocks.  They've been chumming for dam-stunned fish.

Debbie Lynne, I fixed it by making a link to Flickr. It now works on my mobile phone as well as my PC.

Aw, how cute is the one that’s just getting its white head? Teenage eagle?

The Harmar pair were putting on a nice show yesterday, and I was happy to see that the Allegheny was fairly clear of ice. They looked pretty well-fed!
