Ice Is Way Cool

This morning it’s 8o F and we certainly have ice in Pittsburgh!

p.s. I’ve been waiting since November to write about ice. December was mostly ice-free and often quite warm. What a winter!

  1. Yes, if ice didn’t float, then streams (or lakes) would freeze and the ice would sink, then freeze again, and sink again, and eventually the stream or lake would freeze solid, and in colder climates might never completely thaw again. 🙁
