What an action shot by Kim Steininger!

This immature bald eagle zoomed into the frame from the right, caught a fish and flew away with it clutched in his feet.  The splash is arcing toward the fish while his wings hide his face. 

Swoop!  

Now’s the time of year to see bald eagles on the Susquehanna River at Conowingo Dam in Maryland.  I wish I could go.
